                        Arthur Newman: Producer, Songwriter, Composer

 

Raised in the countryside of Hertfordshire and Northumberland and inspired by the spacious and richly orchestrated music of Sigur Ros, Bon Iver and Sufjan Stevens, I try to create evocative music and soundscapes. 

 

Over lockdown I wrote my debut album with my sister under our band Lily Brings the Weather with our work played by BBC Introducing. I have since worked with artists Jake Hatch, B-Side on their recent releases as well as my own music for SPLENDID 66.

Based in Old Street London, I studied Sound Engineering at IMW whilst  training at Old Street Studios. I am now a Lecturer at IMW and have since worked as a Sound Designer and Composer for short films and as a post-producer for TVF Media.
